An excellent volume in the proud Balkema tradition on the life and works of South African-born artist Strat Caldecott. Includes 10 colour plates, the last of which is a large fold-out at rear of book, and 59 black and white plates of his paintings and drawings. This volume also comes with essays written by Caldecott, including a piece on Picasso, in English and Afrikaans, loosely inserted. A must for the collector of South African art.
