In this, her first collection, Amosu meditates on a rich range of experiences in Africa and elsewhere, and on the joys and sorrows of attachment. She reflects on the landscapes of chosen exile, on political commitment and on the burdens of loss. All is transfigured in language that alternates between sharp analysis, lyrical precision and lamentation.
