Following the success of the brochure published by the Jewish community to commemorate the occasion of Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday, it was felt that the articles in the original publication, plus a few additions, should be compiled in book form for posterity.
The aim of the publication was to convey to Mr Mandela the Jewish community's best wishes on reaching his 90 year milestone, and to record its gratitude to him for his exceptional contribution to the causes of peace, justice and democracy in our country.
